  1. A. The Canadian Prime Minister is the Head of Government, elected by a constituency to the house of commons, and chosen as the leader of the party, were as the President of the USA is the head of state, elected by delegates from all over the country. The diffrence between head of state and government varies but typically (and the purpose) is that the head of state is responsible of executive functions, have little influence on legislative (law making) process. The head of government is responsible (and whole purpose) is to propose bills. However, there are some diffrences between the two countries, as the prime minister "recememds" the executive cabinate.

    b. Like you said, canada's senate is appointed (by the prime

minister) and serve until they're 75, meaning that parties that ruled at least twenty years ago on the house of commons could have a majority in the senate today.

    C. In the case that the largest party in the house of commons proposes a bill, then is defeated, an election can be called, there for unpredictable, giving officially 30 days to campaing, were as American are at fixed rate, giving a possible longer campaing time.

    D. The candidates for presidents campaing (with their vice-president) independently, only endorsed by the party they were nominated by. Delegates from across the nation meet and vote for the president where as the prime minister needs the support of his/hers party and the most votes in his area.

    hope it helps
