Question:

I need help with my teeth!?

I'm having a problem with my teeth.

I just got my braces off, but I didn't completely think they were ready.

My 4 front top teeth seem to point out a little bit which is really starting to bug me.

The orthodontics took them off but i just felt like the top teeth need to be fixed first.

What should I do? should i listen to them and trust them with their decision?

Also, they gave me a wire retainer and the wire doesnt go across all of my teeth. At some points, they go too far up near the gums where they don't even touch the teeth.

Also, it seems like the wire isn't touching my teeth at all, its just above it.

Will it still hold my teeth?

how will it?

HELP!

  1. Tell your parents and make an appointment with a different orthodontist to get a second opinion, then go to the original one.

  2. i THiNK YEW SH0ULD STATE Y0UR 0PiNi0N T0 Y0UR DENTiST...i MEAN AFTER ALL YEW ARE PAY'N AN AWFUL L0T 0F M0NEY JUST T0 GET THEM C0RRECTED....THE LEAST THEY C0ULD D0 iS GET iT RiGHT T0 Y0UR SATiSFACTi0N!!!!!!!!!

  3. You do need to talk to your orthodontist. And the wire isn't supposed to go across all the teeth and there should be a space between wire and tooth (held together in spots by bond) so that you can floss around the wire. Anyway talk to your orthodontist if you aren't happy with what he says you can always go elsewhere for a second option or you can ask your general dentist what he/she thinks, they will have some knowledge on orthodontics.

  4. Take up any concerns with your orthodontist.

They will explain everything to you in detail,

and you're allowed to ask questions!

    Take Care.

  5. These are great questions for your orthodontist....you need to ask there

  6. i'd go back and demand a new retainer and a fix of the upper teeth..seems like your ortho sucks.

i know many people who come out of the ortho and their teeth are perfect..so i'd at least go back and talk to them about it..or go talk to other orthodonists about it and ask for their opinion on what you should do..that way, if they screwed up, you can sew them.

  7. there is a spot on the wire retainer that doesnt touch your teeth. its the K9 teeth i believe and it rounds the gum above it. its normal i dont know the reason but obviously its correct that way. only the front teeth should have the wire actually on them. the sides dont. so wear the retainer all the time except eating and itll all correct itself
