I'm having traditional wedding but a little more on the casual side. Its a outside fall wedding. We're having it in a open field with tons of trees around with a big red barn.. Im having my girls in casual brown dresses but I was needing help with the groomsmen and the groom. My dress is ivory and I was kinda wanting the groom in a light tan color with a brown vest and I don't know if I could pull of the groomsmen in brown suspenders with no jacket and the light tan pants.. I need Help I want something diffrent like a little more on the country side but classy at the same time lol..

If any suggestions that would be great.

  1. This is gorgeous even without the jacket!

    I think it's a great idea!

  2. If you really don't want jackets on them, I think vest shirt and tie would look better than suspenders- that sounds a little hokey to me (sorry)

  3. For the guys try ivory collarless (tab type) button down shirts with brown dress slacks (not Khakis) and for the groom add a vest. Leave off the suspenders and keep it simple and elegant. Good luck!

  4. What you're describing sounds like you want them to look like they're Amish to me... do not do the suspenders! I would just have them wear brown sport jackets and khakis. It's always better to be a little more formal than not for a wedding.

  5. If you are going country traditional/casual...how about the men in dark blue denim with matching western shirts in cream with brown sting ties to match the bridesmaid dresses? You could even throw a brown western jacket on if you wanted.  For weddings outside on a farm setting like that...I think of the wedding in 8 Seconds, I think that was so...country yet, they looked hot!  If you don't know the show, rent it and watch the short clip of the wedding, you can see what I mean!

  6. this is the tux my husband wore for our wedding and it sound like it is exactly what your looking for (my colors were pink and brown)

you could put all your guys in it with different vests or just your groom and put the rest of the guys in this one (that's what i did)
