I need help with my wireless network!??

Question

I had my wireless secured with WEP, and it messed up and asked me for the password, which i cannot find, or remember. So i was just wondering if there was a way i could get to my passwords or reset the encryption? Anything will help! thanks

Just logged in to your router, you connect to the routing using a LAN cable(UTP cable) plug it into one fo the holes at the back of it, then go to your browser and type the router ip 192.168.something.1 there.

reinstall the disk that came with your wireless router than you can select the type of connection you want i recommend class even though more insecure and then you will get a new code if not unintall software that your wireless router came with then reintall it agian if you have not intalled this software go to your routers web site and find drivers, or support and download one for xp or whatever os you have

Resetting the Router to factory default is a last resort.!!!

Ok you need to go into the router's administration page and reset the password ( type a new one).

Once you're in the router go to the wireless tab and change the wep key.

You need:

1) IP address of your Router (find it by typing IPconfig at the command prompt. It will be the gateway address}

2) Username and password for the router.

After that you are GOLD

Allen is on the right track...reset the router. Look up the router's default settings on the Internet and find out what the default username and password is for that brand router.

There is a tiny reset button on your wireless router. you proberly need a toothpick to reach it. Hold the reset bottun down for like 10 secconds and all your setting should go back to factory settings.
