I need help with my xbox 360 help?!!?

my brother was trying to download a demo and it stopped and when we turn it on, the bottom right light is flashing red and it sais a bunch of different languages: "system error. please contact xbox customer support"

please tell me what to do and what happened

p.s it has been overheating alot lately.

You have the red ring of death, look up what that means and you may find the cure to your problem.

How long have you had it for? If you have owned it for over a year then your warranty is up through Microsoft and you have a big problem. If you have not had it for more then a year you will need to contact Microsoft and tell them what is happening. They will send you a box and have you send your system back to them for repair. If you purchased an extended warranty you need to call wherever you bought it and find out who you contact for the system to be repaired. Most likely since this is your first red ring of death you have not had it for more then a year so just call Microsoft and they will fix it. Good luck it could be up to 6 weeks before you get any game time. PS. You have to send it out-there is no other way to fix it. Also if it's overheating you can go on ebay or go to any store that sells xbox stuff and buy a fan that attaches to the side of the system, the fan runs when the system is on. They are relatively cheap and it's worth it. We got red ring twice and our DVD driver stopped reading the disks so it's been sent out a few times already. Thankfully my boyfriend bought the extended warranty. Good Luck

turn it off,

unplug it for like.. 5 minutes

then restart it..

it worked for me :D
