So, I am a 7th grader and today was my first day of school. My dad bought me only school supplies on the lists given plus another binder.

I have:

1. A big binder w/ dividers that have pockets

2. A thin binder w/ dividers that have pockets for Science

3. A big mead spiral notebook for language arts

4. Index Cards

5. Composition Book

6. Pens/Pencils

7. Graph Paper

8. Loose Leaf Paper

9. A folder for each class

10. Small Spiral Notebooks for each class

And for my locker I have:

- Locker shelf

- Magnetic Pencil Holder

- Magnets

I really want an effective way to be organized without having to buy more stuff...

Please HELP!

THANK YOU!

  1. you might want to also bring a change of clothes > maybe an extra tee shirt & slacks in case you dump your lunch in you lap, or a science experiment goes awry & you spill some smelly stuff on your clothes.  maybe some change if you have to use the pay phone also. get a mirror with magnets if you want to check yourself out before you get into class > make sure you don't have anything out of place.

Good luck > make it a great year.  & hopefully you won't have to repeat the grade ever again.

  2. since you already have stuff for science and LA, im going to focus on history and math.  the big binder should be divided into sections for classwork, notes, homework, and use the pockets for tests and quizzes.  i didnt need a whole lot for my history class.  a notebook for notes and another for homework should be good enough for your history class.  just use another notebook if you run out and label as the 2nd book so that you don't get confused.

history- at least 2 notebooks and a folder (tests and quizzes plus worksheets)

math- "big" binder divided into 3 sections: classwork, notes and homework and use the pockets for tests and quizzes

science- "thin" binder divided into 3 sections: notes, worksheets, homework and use the pockets for tests and quizzes

LA- big mead spiral notebook and Composition Book plus a folder for worksheets

the locker shelf with really help you since now you have more space for your binders, notebooks, and folders.  keep extra pens, pencils, highlighters and erasers in your magnetic holder.  keep a copy of your schedule with you or in your locker for the first few weeks until you can remember the order of your classes.  keep pictures of you and your friends in your locker and anything else.  hand sanitizer might be helpful.

  3. Well i also am in 7th grade and i think that you should at least get a multiple shelf locker shelf. You know, so that you can put small paper back school books and folders for each subject in each shelf, and then put textbooks under or above. You should also put important papers on the magnets and get 1 more pencil holder, and put pens in one and pencils in another.      Good Luck!!!!! :)
