I need help with reformatting an ipod!

Okay, so i have an ipod that looks like this..

and i fully charge it. and when i connect it to the computer, it won't connect to itunes... i try to reformat it but this Autoplay thing pop ups... and the battery starts going low, then after a few minutes, the ipod dies because of the battery and im not able to reformat.. can anybody help!!

  1. If the battery is causing you problems like that, then formating it won't help. It's already going to be unusable because the lithium battery has lost it's ability to hold a charge, so just about all you can do now is get a new iPod.

    However, if you still want to format it, if it shows up in iTunes when you plug it in to the computer, go to it's screen and click "Restore." If that doesn't work, then it's just broken.


  2. ok urs ipod is different from mine...but when dat happens to me!

    I press the middle button and the menu button until the apple comes up and the screen....and after its all done loading you ipod just plug it in! =)
