  1. Er... ok, thanks to Holidayshub we now know how many points you get for scoring a try. Invaluable information there. Thanks.

If you want to get faster and stronger, it's not rocket science. You need to get up earlier, run a lot to drop off any unwanted kilos and then seriously hit the carbs, get a lot of protein, protein shakes are good if you're training hard - and do squats. Proper squats with heavy weights, at first under supervision from a professional, then you'll be OK to do them with a training partner.

To begin with work hard on your shoulders and your thighs; the rest will follow - you certainly don't need to be doing tons of biceps curls in order to be good at rugby. The power comes from your thighs and backside and you need solid shoulders that can stand up to impact when tackling.

Go to www.fitness4rugby.co.uk and look at some of the tutorials and training aids they have in there. It's not by any means necessary to buy stuff like harnesses and weighted belts, you can make it yourself very easily with a little bit of imagination.

Check out also the power and strength section.

Train hard and try to vary your training - marathon runners don't make for good rugby players. Be as dynamic as you can when training.

Remember that there's no substitute for the reality of a game situation and try to play as much sevens/touch over the summer in order to improve your coordination and ball skills.

Eat spinach. It'll turn you into a physical Tyrannasaurus. Just like me.

  2. Holidayshub being your ideal e-guide has brought you some most important and very basic Rugby World Cup 2007 Tournament Rules.

Scoring in the game of the rugby starts by achieving a try or a goal. When a player places the ball in the opponent's in-goal area, a try is scored. According to the Rugby World Cup 2007 Tournament Rules a try will bring 5 points and can add 2 more points if player makes an unbeaten place kick or drop kick. In case of a penalty kick, player can score 3 points for the team. The rule of rugby also specifies that on passing rugby ball forward a ban can be put. Hence, the rugby players can either run with the ball or kick it. .

Another set of Tournament Rules for Rugby World Cup 2007 states that rugby is a rough game. And owing to this fact usage of most kinds of the game gears such as padding or helmets will be considered illegal
