I need help with sending to cancelled car insurance policies stating we have new companies and lower rates.?

Its an car insurance company trying to win back cancelled policies.

  1. When they call, you thank them for their time and state, "I don't wish to be contacted again. Please remove me from your phone list."

  2. Way to go, arklatex.......

    You might also send your OLD company a copy of your NEW policy.  They will have to cancel on the date the new policy started as you cannot have duplicate coverage.

    If you were behind in your payment to the OLD company, be aware that you may still owe some "earned premium" to the OLD company due to the policy being in force and not being current on your payments.

  3. The insurance company you changed to should have a standard letter of cancellation form that you can sign and mail or fax to the company you are leaving.  If not, simply state it in a letter yourself.

    Something to the effect of,

    "Please be informed that on (such and such date) I (your name) am cancelling my insurance (policy #) because I have obtained insurance from another carrier.

    (Your signature).
