I need help with setting up a system in my car?

okay i have a 2001 dodge neon ive still got all factory set up in the car i just got the car in July but i really really want to put a good system in it i want it to be pretty loud with real good bumpin bass but i also need it on a semi-cheap scale,i dont want it to sound S****y tho so im willing to dish out what i need to ive been lookin at this sony package at walmart to start with basic speaker

but i also need to know what i should look for subwoofer and amp wise

i dont really know alot about car audio so i really really need help and if you could answer me like im completly dumb that would help and if you know any sites or anything where i could learn a lil about car audio that would be awesome too!!

  1. if your new that's cool you have to start some where but anyway i would look into Memphis car audio they make these Pr's 15 that are dirt cheap and sound really good and a memphis amp is cheap to 1000watts like 369 bucks that will be a banging system check memphis subs out on you tube  


  2. first tip: stay away form sony subs..especially if they are sold from wal-mart

    second tip:try amazon.com or ebay.com for better deals

    third tip:heard of kickers?? if you have then you know what im talkin about, the ones i recommend are the comp vr also known as cvr ...they are good because of their excellent power handling and they arent that expensive.more bang for your buck.

    fourth tip: crutchfield.com helps out the "newbies" in their learn section of the site

    fifth tip:make sure the subs can handle more than the amp can produce to prevent damage to your subs...if you get kicker then beat the h**l out of them!!!...mine are still good
