I need help with sky + box?

my sky box has turned itself off and won`t turn on, I have rang sky and as it is now out of warranty(what a surprise) i will be charged for an engineer to call out £65.

has any one any ideas, i run the whole tv through sky box and have no other ariel so kids not happy.

are you using the remote to turn it off? if so the batteries might be flat try switching it on by pressing the on/off button on the box itself this worked for me.

I know this is simple but have you checked the fuse in the plug?

Ring ky to say you're cancelling. When they ask why, tell them your box has broke. I bet they will offer to replace it for free!

This is worth a try. turn of at the wall leave for a few Min's then plug back in leave again a few Min's then turn on.It does work sometimes.
