I if I click on my scroll bar, address bar, or even the beginning of this sentence; the scroll bar and cursor will go all the way to the end. I have recently opened up all ports for limewire to use on my linksys, this computer is about 2 months old, the mouse is optical, and it runs on vista.

I'm going to try and recall all of the things that I have noticed strange on my computer...

-on Wmedia player, if I click a certain volume or if I try and click farther along on the timeline, it will continue on past where I pointed it to as if I was clicking and dragging it to the end.

-when I right click a minimized program in my task bar the options that include restore/close/maximize/minimize will blink away as if I moved my mouse away from it.

-When I click the windows button the program list blinks away as if I moved my mouse away from it.

--I have NORTON 360 and my computers firewall is off, but norton is fully enabled.

--ALL NORTON SCANS COME UP AS IF THERE IS NOTHING WRONG!!! THERE IS SOMETHING DEFINITELY WRONG!

--please don't tell me that my problem is that I have NORTON, if it is in fact norton, please tell me the solution...

once connected, download and install the freeware listed. update each and THEN run.

Trojans, Worms, Key Loggers, Viruses, and Spyware are all very difficult to remove with just a single program. That is why it is recommend to run several programs to aid in the removal process. I recommend running each of the following programs listed below in order. Not all the programs are freeware and require purchase, you don’t have to run that program but I recommend looking into it if the results come back with your computer still being infected. Still, after all the freeware programs have run through your computer should be clean of any infection.

NOTE: It is recommend to run these programs in Safe Mode for the best results!

    1. Freeware – Spybot: This one gets a lot of advertising bots and other malicious programs.

2.Spyware Blaster: This is a powerful utility that helps to block potential spyware problems from browsers and websites.

  2. well, first you are running with all ports open and your firewall turned off and running Limewire on a PC.  You might as well wave a flag, pick up a megaphone and scram "come on in, my computer and everything on it is free for the taking."

It's like opening all your doors and windows, announcing that no one's home and wondering why your house gets burgled.  Running a PC on the 'net is risky enough without inviting the bad guys in.

Close all the extra ports, turn on your firewall, wipe your harddrive and start over.  you are GUARANTEED to have key loggers, trojans and every other kind of nasty running around your PC's guts by now.

  3. I would go for AVG it's free too and has the most highest rating as you will see in this link It deals with spywere and has a firewall plus it updates and scans daily, It dose automatic email scanning going and coming. It is very good
