I need help with swords in halo?

People keep telling there is an unbeatable trick to the swords in halo involving the B button.

help me!!

The halo games are awesome but im going to have to say its all about timing

The melee button is faster than the slash. I usually slash and then melee, you have to time it right if you want to win against people who usually melee.

Some people just melee which works fine too but you have to time it once again.
