  4. Cold water will work for practically everything.

Use hot water only on whites that wont shrink, like white towels and white bedclothes. Men's handkerchiefs.   ( NOT t-shirts)

Jeans are washed in cold water unless they are truly filthy. Turn them inside out to help keep the color as it is now.

I hate liquid softener, especially on towels.

(next time, buy fabric softener that goes in the dryer)

But  many washing machines have a dispenser for softener and if they have one, you pour the laundry softener in that, when you fill the washer with detergent and everything else.

Otherwise, you put it in in the last 10 or 14 minutes, but definitely before the final rinse.

don't wash things together that are very different colors.

Don't wash things together that are of very different weights.

  5. 1. I wash everything except bath towels, sheets and kitchen towels in Warm water Warm rinse. the above get hot water and bleach.

    2. separate jeans to one load and reds to one load. Never put them in with anything else, EVER!

    3. get one of those little ball things and put the softener in it and toss it on top of the clothes at the start of the cycle. Otherwise if your machine has a second rinse cycle go back and add it then. And do not pour it directly on the clothes. It makes a spot that attracts all the dust in the universe.

I use the cold cycle only for soaking some things.

  6. all the information you need is listed on a tag on your washing

machine look for it,it's also on everything you buy to wash your

    laundry

I use hot/warm for sheets, whites including white towels and robes

Warm water is for delicates, perm press, colors be sure to separate

light colors from reds and darker colors

  7. cold water is for mixed loads different colors textures so to speak.

hot is best for whites and heavy soiled clothing...hot will also make certain shirts and jeans shrink so be careful
