I need help with this name?

i was thinkking about a good name for when im older and i have a baby. my dad just passed away about 2 years ago, and his name was alan. i was hoping to find a good name for a girl that sounds like alan.

i was thinking Allyn Briana.

any other ideas?.

I think Allyn is a little masculine for a baby girl. Maybe something like Alaina would be more girly?

I do quite like the combination Alaina Brielle.

You could go with Alana (pronounced like Alena) or Alanna. I do like Allyn though :)

When I see the name Alan, I think more "Alanna". I know that it's usually pronounced like "a-LAW-nuh" but I have always pronounced it "a-LAN-nuh".

So I like Alanna because it has the name Alan in it. Either way, I think it's a great tribute to think of your dad when you're naming future kids. :]

The female version of Alan is Alana or Lana. You could always go with Alanis, like the singer. If it were me I would reserve your father's name for if you have a boy and choose something else for the girl. Perhaps a grandmother's name.

I love the  name Allyn.  It is my friends name and she pronounces it just like Alan.  Of course she is plagued with people mispronouncing it.  She does not have a middle name but  urs is nice.

Maybe Allandra, I know it's hardly a common name but I think it's really cute, Ally, Al, Alan for short. You could also have Allyn or Alanna(h) Or maybe Ellen, but I think Allandra's better. The middle name's really cute, by the way.

What about Alana (pronounced Al-arn-uh)?  It's a feminine form of Alan.

I am really sorry to hear about you losing your dad, though.  He must have been special to y ou if you are naming your daughter after him.  That's really sweet.
