I need help with this spider ?

o i found this huge spider outside my house it has a web as thick as a black widows but my uncle told me it's called a Halloween spider is it toxic? i tried researching it but all i get is shopping for plastic fake spiders~?!?!?!? plz help!

I have never heard of a halloween spider, and would need more of a description for an ID.  Also, I am not sure how big "huge" is, can you give me an approximate measurement? I have heard "huge" describe a 1 inch spider, but I have seen spiders at 11 inches.
