11.24 In a bumper test, three types of autos were deliberately crashed into a barrier at 5 mph, and the resulting damage (in dollars) was estimated. Five test vehicles of each type were crashed, with the results shown below. Research question: Are the mean crash damages the same for these three vehicles?

  1. The data set is not provided, you need to use ANOVA, analysis of variance, for this.


  2. All you have to do to find the mean damages for one of the vehicles is to add all of the resulting damages of all of the test crashes of that type of vehicle together and divide by 5 (since 5 tests were done).  Repeat this for the other 2 car types and then compare the answers.
