I need help with torrents?

I'm getting a mac and my friend was gonna hook me up with torrents but I was wondering if torrents work the same on Macs?

they work exactly the same but if your friend is giving you pc torrents and if it is a software you need to get a mac version of whatever it is you are getting so you have to use.dmg instead of.exe and you need to use a bittorent client i think transmission is the best

yup. get ur client(i like transmission, its pretty simple) and dl ur torrents from the intrawebnets
