I need help with torrents!

I just recently learned how to download movies using torrents, but the 2 I downloaded wouldn't work. they were either .avi or .mp4, which won't play on my dvd player. How can I tell what the file format is before I download it?

  1. when u download a movie from torrent u notice that most of them are encoded

    just download a codec

    i use k-codec personally

  3. you need to get avi to dvd burner to burn downloaded video to dvd,I always use cucusoft DVD/VCD/SVCD Creator, It enables you to convert and burn any video file directly to VCD, DVD, SVCD, MPEG1 and MPEG2 format. it works great for me, you can also free download it here to have a try,

  4. Standard DVD players read the .Vob format, the files you have now are in AVI format..

    I'd suggest you download ConvertXtoDVD - version 3

    i summarize by sayin: its easy to use, and works perfectly.

    It lets you burn multiple video files (including AVI, MP4, anything!) to DVD, along with amazing DVD menus.
