I need help with travelling.?

Question

Has anyone been to Canberra in Australia?

Any good ideas on places to go? My family and I are going for a weekend, we havent been there before. Any ideas are appreciated.

The Australian War Memorial for sure. It is an amazing museum and you can spend days looking through it.

these hop on hop off tours are a good way to see a lot in a short time - and if you do it early in your stay, you have some time to revisit anything that takes your interest

Questacon (science museum)

National Library of Australia

The above are all in the Parliamentary Triangle so with a map you'll easily find your way to each one.

There is also the National Museum of Australia on the other side of the Lake, which is well worth a visit.

Telstra Tower (great views)

Botanic Gardens

Wander around the city.

Go out to Federation Square and visit Cockington Green (miniature village) on the Barton Highway on outskirts of Canberra.

I know there's more, I live in Canberra, but just can't think at the moment.

The war memorial and the science museum are very good. Otherwise travelling to the nearby Snowy mountains for some skiing would be good.
