  1. ewwwww trinomials or binomials or polynomials they suck

    LOL

  2. You can't solve these since they're not equations, but you can simplify them.

    ------------------------

Hint: Use ^ to indicate exponents

    Examples:

    ^2 = squared

    ^3 = cubed

    ^4 = to the 4th power

    ^5 = to the 5th power

    etc.

    ----------------------------------

    (p + q)^2 + 2(p + q) + 1 =

    Remember that a^2 + 2ab + b^2 = (a + b)^2

    Given: (p + q)^2 + 2(p + q) + 1 = (p + q)^2 + 2(p + q)(1) + 1^2

    Means: a = p + 1, b = 1

    (p + q)^2 + 2(p + q) + 1 =

    (p + q)^2 + 2(p + q)(1) + 1^2 =

    (p + q + 1)^2

    ----------------------------------

    (g - h)^2 - 2(g - h) + 1 =

    Remember that a^2 - 2ab + b^2 = (a - b)^2

    Given: (g - h)^2 - 2(g - h) + 1 = (g - h)^2 - 2(g - h)(1) + 1^2

    Means: a = g - h, b = 1

    (g - h)^2 - 2(g - h) + 1 =

    (g - h)^2 - 2(g - h)(1) + 1^2 =

    (g - h - 1)^2

  3. the answer is 2

  4. (p+q)² + 2(p+q) + 1

    Let (p + q) = a

    a² + 2a + 1

    = (a + 1)²

    = (p + q + 1)²

    (g-h)²  - 2(g-h) + 1

    let (g – h) = a

    a² – 2a + 1

    =(a – 1)²

    = (g – h – 1)²
