I need help with world history?

uhh well today was my first day and people were anooying him so he gave us a essay to write not long only 200 words about "lessons of history" but i cant think of anything. can anyone give me ideas

    You could discuss how we didn't learn lessons from something (i.e.) war and so do it all over again.

  3. I've always thought a central theme of history is how society can be shaped a certain way versus how a single person shapes things.

    for example,

    Without Lincoln, there would probably have been a US Civil War, but would the outcome have been the same?

    I suppose you could also say something about how we can only really view the lessons of history a generation or so after the fact, e.g. the US conflict in Viet Nam didn't receive a less biased history until thirty or so years after it was over.
