I wanted to create a logo that I would later put onto a T-Shirt and I was wondering what resolution I should use that would look nice on a shirt.

  1. Height and width in inches, of course, depends on what size you want the graphic to be, on the shirt.

You design the graphic at the size you want it to be, and, at the resolution you want to print.

The thing about printing on fabric is that the resolution need not be anywhere as high as you would if you were printing on paper.  Considering the thread count of the fabric, even the otherwise low resolution of 72 dpi may be plenty high enough.  Even if the shirt is do be silkscreened, any resolution tighter than the screen itself is wasted. (it doesn't matter how many pixels you try to squeeze into the screen's mesh.  Each square is still one solid color.)

To be safe, I'd recommend about 100 dpi for a fabric print.

  2. 300 is good.  But you may want to check with where you are sending your artwork to have the shirt printed, they may have guidelines that you will need to follow.

  3. at full size of print, 144, may be of, if theres a lot of fine detail and colors, you may try 300 dpi/ ppi resolution, do test print  before using on transfer paper,
