I recently received a bone transplant in my knee. I want to write to the family but I am having difficulty finding meaning in my writing. It was not life threatening, but because of my surgery I have be relieved of some pretty intense pain. Any ideas on how I can explain my gratitude???

  1. Most of your responses are assuming it was from a deceased person--?? you didn't say but there are many living donors so be careful with your wording unless you know for sure. It was a priceless gift of great value that you will be forever grateful for.

  2. How about something like receiving the gift of a bone transplant has vastly made a change in your life for the better and because of their generosity you now have quality of life and reduced the amount of pain you are in. Say that you wish to thank them and their family for their precious gift and say that you are truly sorry for their loss but because of a gift given by their loved one they have made a difference in your life and possibly others lives. And maybe that you felt the need to say thank you and let them know you are thinking of them and their family in this sad time. I hope this has helped somewhat. But once you sit there long enough the words will come out right. Good luck. :)
