I need help writing a paper for school!?

Question

This is what I have so far.

"What I didn't Get to Do Over My Summer Vacation!"

This summer I would have enjoyed going to the summer Olympics in Beijing, China. I love photography and would have taken many pictures at the opening ceremonies where there were 91,000 spectators, althletes and leaders from many countries. It's too bad I wasn't invited!

This paper has to be kinda long, so should I write more about the Olympics, or change the subject?

You have chosen an interesting subject. Expand on the topic by telling what else you would have done if you

had been invited. What would you have seen, felt,heard,

tried food wise, bought as souvenirs. Elaborate on why

you weren't invited. Perhaps tell what you would have done

to raise the money had you been invited.

Continue on the Olympics for a bit (what are your fav events? whose your fav athlete? etc). Write a paragraph on those. Then, in a new one, write about something else you wish you could have done (Go scuba diving, windsurfing, etc). I would say that you should have a list of three unique things that you wish you could have done, with one or two paragraphs on each.

Yeah, just carry on expanding the olympics thing since there's loads to write about the olympics! :)

However, you could do the last couple of paragraphs on a brief other thing you would have liked to do over the summer holidays.

Otherwise, people who are not interested in reading about the olympics may not carry on reading through the whole article and see they have not read anything they like.

This is something important to consider since this is an article for a school paper so there will be many people reading it.

+ Make it slightly humorous (like the invitation bit you have written) so it keeps people interested and use short paragraphs so it's not just a huge block of text.
