i have a poetry slam in class tomarrow (im in the elite 8) the guy i am going against wrote a poem abot 300 (the movie) i need to write a bettter poem (funny is good) please help!!!! i really want to win, THE POEM CAN BE ABOUT ANYTHING!

A necessary evil

Bottom feeders all

Wordsmiths are needed

A twist of fate

You can't copy someone elses work, thats plagerism.  You can however, open your mind and let your mind and pen flow on the paper.  Write about not being able to come up with an idea.  Write about things you observe in life. Write about a situation you may have experienced that others can relate to.  Good luck with your poem.  Make sure it comes from your heart.
