  1. I've been writing songs for most of my life. One was even a title song for a CD. I started out playing  guitar and singing and writing.

There are a few different ways to write a song

You can write the Hook or Chorus first by coming up with a clever phrase that's easy to say or sing and is somewhat repetitive.

You can Have a story to tell or the experience of someone you know and write the verses.  If you feel stuck just go for a walk and look around at things and you will find something to write about.  Life itself is very inspiring if you are tuned in and observant.

You can just hear a bit of a melody or entire song, but realize the whole song doesn't have to come to you at once.

Some songs have taken 6 months to write and some songs have taken 10 minutes.

Also realize that some people are great at writing lyrics and some people are great with melodies. You might want to collaborate

The important thing is to start and don't be too critical of what you are doing.  Most people don't start off being great at something from the start, that happens with work and experience.

    Good Writing!

  2. i don't know much about music but i know one thing people love to listen to songs about life but real life. Not some make up stories . Just try to write a song about something that u experienced.

  3. just let your emotions spill out... tell what you have always wanted to say, anything works but it really depends on how you put your words with your genre of music, mine is rock so i use stuff that would make more sense in that genre
