  1. ancestry.com family trees had several listings for

    Brigida/Brijida/Bryida nee Alanis Moreno.

    The Moreno Tree:

    Brigida Alanis

    b. 1845, Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico

    d. 31 Dec 1918, Beeville, Bee Co., Texas, USA

    m. Julio Moreno

children: Florena, Procopia, Romalda, Santiago, Tomas, Victor

    1880 US Census:

    Bryido Moreno

    Residence: Precinct 3 & 4, Starr, Texas

    Age: 38

    Pirth Place: Mexico

    Parents Birth Place: Mexico

    Spouse: Julio Moreno

    Occupation: Housekeepping

    Household Members and their ages:

    Julio 40, Bryido 38

    Victor 12, Romalda 9, Procopio 7, Florentina 4, Tomaz 2

    1900 US Census

Residence: Justice Precinct 5, Duval, Texas

Household  Members: Julio 75, Brigida 55

The resource list for the Moreno tree listed

Cipriano Alanis as her father and

    Eufemia Sainz as her mother.

However, when I viewed the tree, it only listed her father as Santiago Alanis, no mother listed.

    Very confusing!!!

Also, there is a dramatic difference, if you estimate the birth year of Julio, from each of the 2 Census records.

    (Could be census takers error.)

    Hope this helps!

  2. Well, good luck, then.
