I need how-to remove palm tree stumps/before they damage my wall?

stumps are ea. 3'/side-by-side. Only 6" exposed. HELP, please.

  1. If this is the wall of your house, I would be careful of the sugar treatment, with all of the ant problems there are in Fl or the south or anywhere for that matter.  Perhaps if the sugar sourse if found out to be on the stumps the ants will not bother the walls of the house...who knows...just a heads up is all.


  2. drill perimiter holes about two feet deep and pour Roundup liquid . directions are on the bottle.

  3. Cut the stumps as low as you can to the ground.  Drill holes (the more the better) in the tops of the stumps, fill the holes with sugar and cover them up with dirt.

    The sugar accellerates the growth of anerobic bacteria in the stump.  The bacteria eat the fiber and cellulose in the stump and cause it to decay faster, turning the stumps into soft, crumbly material that can be tilled back into the soil.
