  1. Look at the link below.... wow, what ideas.   It all depends on your theme.  How about clams or shells if you have a seaside or ocean theme wedding.  What is your wedding theme?????  I'd still use the five almonds, but just present them in a unique way.  Make a flower out of them, each almond would be a petal of a flower.  Use tulle, then fasten to pens with florist tape, and stick them in flower pots filled with beans.  Use a ribbon with your names and wedding date to tie on top.  You can even add a tiny bee.  (All can be found at the dollar store.)  It all depends on your theme.  Would have helped a lot to know that.

  2. candles with personalized labels you can print labels and then but dollar tree candles and wrap them in tissue paper

  3. Icecream scoops!  I could do with one of them.

What about herbs and spices?  (Dried ones)  Most people will use them if they are the standard ones like parsley, basil, cinnamon, etc.

The edible stuff is good cause you can eat it - but it's not unique.

A toothbrush.  Everyone uses them and you are supposed to renew them every 3-4 months so surely they wouldn't get thrown out!

A pillow - if they don't use it themselves they can always put it on their spare bed.

Pens and pencils.  Do you know how often we misplace them?  Surely someone wouldn't throw something like that out and it would be so useful (as long as they work!)

I did the traditional bonbonniere with 5 sugared almonds wrapped in tulle - however we also gave little saucers (for dips or spices, etc) which I think are very useful.  Just like these at about 2 inches in diameter http://www.cookinstyle.co.uk/imagevariab...

  4. There's heaps! I was in the same boat as you, i wanted something nice and easy, but different to the usual chocolates and sugar almonds.

I found these olive oil labels that I thought were really cute, and we could get personalised with "thank you for helping us celebrate... "etc

THEN i found these graters which i thought were great

But a bit too expensive. THEN i found these beer labels which i thought were perfect for the blokes, we'd get them personalised like the olive oil labels

But our reception is at a RSL club and they don't allow outside alcohol in. BUT i found this rock candy and I was sold

You have to buy 10 kilos of it, minimum 300 dollars, but i figured we'd be paying that anyway. And I love candy. And i've found some nice glass jars for really cheap that i'll dress up.

    Hope that helped
