I need ideas for a band shoot.?

I am shooting a local band--well, it's a one man band. He wants them fairly simple, but fun.

Any super awesome ideas?

We live in the Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA area, if that helps with locations.

Um...one man band...like the guy with the drum on his back and cymbals between his knees?  Or just a soloist?  What instrument?  Classical?  Jazz?

Portland's got some great architecture on the one hand and wide open spaces and nature just a stone's throw away. (I lived there about 15 years ago.)

For shots like this I find a contrast to be eye-catching.  For example, a picture of him setup and playing where you'd never find him playing.  In a playground, atop a park bench, in an elevator shot through open doors.
