I need ideas for a coke/root beer float birthday party. How to make cute invitations etc.?

Get some mugs and put the invitation inside with cotton stuffing on top.  There are also different way to decorate the mugs and so on.

Cut brown construction paper in the shape of the mug, with a slit across the top.  Cut white construction paper in the shape of an ice cream scoop, with a tab to go into the slit.  You can write the info on the white piece.  You could also flatten a straw and stick in the slit too ....  Put some confetti into the envelope.....
