  1. one thing to suggest is that kids that age love repetition. You can play a game over and over and the more times the better.  There are some really simple games to play--make sure everyone can "win" they aren't very good losers at this age. Writing and learning their names is also very fun and educational for them. Singing songs and doing silly rhymes and hand plays are also fun.  Make sure it is a mix of physical and listening. They can't sit that long. I've subbed and taught at preschools and have lots of babysitting experience. Routine is also very important and a schedule.  Hope it goes well and that you have lots of fun!

  2. My daughter is in preschool so I should be able to help you.  Let me tell you how her day goes;

she goes to school at 9am,

half an hour of tracing pictures and coloring them in

    then breakfast

    potty time

play with different toys, playdough, legos...ect

they all sit in a circle for story time, they read 2 books

they learn  new songs and sometimes a new dance.

    at 11:45 they have lunch

then it's back to the potty / wash hands

    go to the playground

color pictures and work on writing their names or tracing their names

    snack time

quiet time, they sit at their desks with their heads down for half an hour

    clean up time

    she comes home at 2:30

the teacher sends home a report every day about what they did, what books they read.  sometimes they make projects where they get to do things like painting their feet and stepping on a piece of paper or glueing different dry beans to paper.

    hope this helps

  4. Aww i remember preschool. We played games such as telephone and we had show and tell. Telephone was where we sat in a cicle and the teacher whispered a word to a child and the child passed that word down to the chid sitting next to him. Once the word got back to the teacher, it wasn't even close to the beginning word. Also, have students bring show and tell items and let them explain how important it is to them. Or you can make a musical class by having the children make tamborines out of paper plates and insert seeds inbetween the plates to make noise. Make sure you tape/glue the plates together. Then have the kids decorate the plates and enjoy making music. There a million and one things you could with preschoolers. Also play games such as simon says or heads up seven up and don't forget musical chairs. For a counting game, fill a jar of jellybeans or candy and have the kids the number of candy in it. Whoever is closest wins the whole jar. Good luck!

  6. First of all, little kids love crafts! I would have them do collages, draw pictures (etc). Another fun things is show and tell. Once a week tell the kids to bring in something they would like to share. At the end of the day have them have center time when they can choose to play with building toys, draw pictures, play house (etc). For holidays, (example) for Thanksgiving have them bring home a turkey and have them  decorate it and tell them to bring it back so you can hang it on the wall.
