I need ideas for a gift for my daughter's teenage basketball coach.?

I think you can never go wrong with a gift certificate.  Maybe one to a nice restaurant, movies, sports store, etc.  It's hard to buy for someone you don't know very well and you don't want to give him something that's just going to get stuck in a closet.  I have several teacher friends and they all say that gift certificates are their favorite thing to get... not the trinkets!

Depending on how much you want to spend, I would buy him two tickets to a basketball game (or another sport that he likes.  Almost everyone likes to go a baseball game.)  He can then go out with a friend or family member to have fun night out doing something that he would enjoy.  

My husband is an avid sports fan, and there is nothing that he likes more than to go to an actual game.

Maybe a gift certificate to a sporting goods store, or a Chamber of Commerce gift certificate....that way he can choose what he'd like.   Also.....you can do an American Express gift card....he can go out to dinner.  It's nice your daughter had a great coach...it makes a big difference.
