I need ideas for a homemade or cheap and original gift?

I wanna send my sisters a present to say "thank you", but it will have to be home-made as I am on a tight budget. Also, I need it to be small enough to send in the post and it cannot be fragile. I need really original ideas, that don't cost too much to make.

  1. bag of cookies

  2. If you can sew, I would make t-shirt teddy bears.  You use old shirts to make the bear and scrap fabric or cotton balls for the filling.

  3. How about some scented sachet's for their lingerie drawer. You can use an old blouse that has a cute print.  Stuff it with some dryer sheets. The scent lasts a long time. You can add a bit of ribbon, dried flowers and a tag with a nice saying on it. If you can't sew, you can even use glue to make the sachet's. You can even make some homemade paper for your inscription.

These will be easy to mail and a daily reminder of your thankfulness. :)

  4. Ribbon roses.

Basically, you take a piece of ribbon and roll it to look like a rose.  You can make them in their favorite colors.  There are a variety of patterns on the 'net.

  5. Epsom salt soaks are a good idea. My mom and I got some plain epsom salt from rite aid, about $3 for six pounds, and scented essential oils from Michael's, about $3 for a bottle. The bottle will make many batches as you only use 10 to 15 drops for 2 cups of salt. Very easy to make. Good luck!
