  1. Bring a 5 or 10 pound bag of potato's and some shake and bake mix to make some potato wedges, also if you have some left over potato's you can make potato's pancakes for breakfast .

    POTATO PANCAKES

    Ingredients

    **************

2 large potatoes - peeled and grated

    2 beaten eggs

    2 tbsp. flour

    Dash of salt

    Dash of pepper

    Grated onion, if desired

    Procedure

    *************

Heat 1/8 inch fat in heavy skillet. Drop by spoonfuls and fry until golden brown.

  2. Gosh, RV, stove & micro and I suppose there is a frig as well - I would say what ever you like or care to eat.

  3. bring EXTRA bacon, for the AM

corn scraped from the cob and baked potatoes cut into pieces can be transformed into a tasty hot meal when mixed with scrambled eggs in a pan

I'm not sure how primitive you will be but you can cook lots of things at home and wrap in foil to be reheated over an open fire. We really like to make what we call a hobo meal. In a piece of foil put your hamburger pattie, potatoes (sliced), carrots (sliced), onions (sliced), and or any veggies you might enjoy and seasoning. Wrap the foil tightly and lay these in the coals around a hot fire. It takes about an hour to cook. Enjoy.

  4. Look into it online so yo ucan get something you want but the best thing to do is foil packs. Foil packs are the greatest you just throw them into the fire and let it cook

  5. Sounds like you have a plan allready here is a site that I love. Maybe it will help. :) http://www.chuckwagondiner.com/categorie...

  6. For breakfast we make pancakes, breakfast tacos, french toast and bacon/eggs. Bacon is a must.

Lunch is easy - sandwiches with chips and dip. We are usually swimming, hiking, and/or biking so I have no desire to stop to cook. You can also make mac and cheese.

    Dinner: grilled anything...chicken, sausages, burgers...

If you are planning a full day and don't want to have to cook, you can cheat and bring your crock pot. I hate to admit it, but I've done that. Throw in a roast and be done with it.

Last week I made tacos when camping. Also, sloppy joes...

  7. Check out Backpacker magazine for great recipes for camping and BP.

  8. my family always made hobo stew. Basically you put ground beef or beef chunks(unless you prefer a different meat), your choice of veggies(onion, carrots, bell pepper etc) and seasonings(lipton oinion soup mix is great for this) in tin foil and make a tight packet. you then place the packets on hot coals. this can be done in an oven too. once everything is cooked you can top it with BBQ sauce or whatever you choose. this always gave us a chance to get exactly what we wanted.

for breakfast we always have pancakes and sometimes "ziplock omlets" for the omlets you put scrambled egg and your choice of omlet fillings like cheese, cooked sausage or mushrooms. Seal the bag tight and drop it in a pot of boiling water. The omlet will cook in the bag, just be sure to use a high quality bag and make sure the bag is completely sealed. this works like the boil in bag rice. you'll need to rotate the bag with a pair of tongs to assure even and complete cooking of the egg.
