When you grocery shop ask for paper bags...No Plastic. If they have none then see if they may have some boxes or maybe bring your own. Separate bottles and cans. If you have soda cans you can take then and get money back on them from a recycling company. Perhaps make a phone call to your local recycling company. Look their name up in the telephone directory.
