have a "stock the bar" party where everyone  brings different types of alcohol, shot glasses, shakers, beer mugs, etc....have a theme like mexican and serve margaritas and corona with mexican food like fajitas, etc.

How about having a "Tacky Party". It is so much fun, and everyone enjoys dressing up as their "tackiest"...Decorating, etc. is a hoot too!

If you want to do something REALLY different, you could have a medieval party...complete with a little renaissance dancing!
