I need ideas for throwing a party for my friend & her husband who just moved home after being in the military.

I'm not exactly sure a housewarming is the best solution. But something to let people know they're home and where they are living. Gifts would be good though. Any suggestions?

Throw a friendly get together, if not at there house do it at a club or even your house. thats really nice of you.

A Welcome Home Party -- Or an old fashioned "Pounding"?

A Pounding is a party where the guests bring a pound of anything, flour, sugar, coffee, tea, towels, kitchen linens, etc.  Any gift would be appropriate, similar to what you give for a house warming.

I hosted a Pounding for a co-worker whose house burned.  She got lots of nice gifts.
