I need ideas of what to do on the beach

heyy im going to myrtle beach on thursday..i have never been there before..i have been to a lot of beaches but i normally just go in the water or sit in a sand chair...i just wanted to know what kind of things u can do when ur on the beach like what kind of games do u play or whatever...my little sister is 9 so she is into playing a lot on the beach...thanks soo muchh xx dana

There's plenty to do on the beach, so don't fret!!  First of all, it's always fun to build cool stuff in the sand...not just your typical sand castles, but like big huge sea turtles or sharks...cool stuff like that.  You could always go out and buy the little sand castle kits too.  Also, you could pick up a paddle ball or badminton set and play that on the beach.  You may be better off with the paddle ball set though, since the shuttlecock that comes with badminton sets will most likely fall victim to the wind.  Once my fiance and I went to Ocean City, Maryland and I dug a huge hole in the sand and had him sit "indian style" in the hole (so that his chin was level with the surface) and then I filled in the hole all around him and it appeared as though there was a head without a body on the beach!  Then we asked someone who was walking past if he could take our photograph and now that photo hangs in the entry way of our home as a reminder of how much fun we're capable of having!  It would probably make a cute photo for you two to give to your parents and, perhaps, while you're on the beach you could collect some pretty sea shells and a bit of sand to bring home so that you can make a cute little shadow box to frame your photo in!  Good luck!  Have a great time!!  Check out the link below for ordering a "ready-made" shadow box that you simply need to decorate!!

You could always build a sandcastle or something like that. You could bring a frisbee to throw or maybe a football or soccer ball to play with. You could bring a beach ball and play around in the water with that.

You should see if you can build an awesome sand castle that will impress the whole beach.

heres a few ideas

make a sand castle or a fort

dig a hole in the snd and dig deeper and deeper until you reach the water down there

collect shells

stand in the water up to your shins and jump over waves

bury each other in the sand

rent a surfboard and surf (if you know how)

dig the sand for sand crabs

take photos

throw balls of wet sand into the ocean

fly a kite

rent a motorboat

lie down right next to the seashore and let the waves get on you
