I need ideas on creating a thunderstorm and/ or a tornado model?

i need it for a school project(btw i am in grd 10). i nedd sumthing exciting and portable and harmless. if u have any ideas please feel free to tell...

You could create a portable tornado model machine (vortex generator) using  a water ionizer (creates a fog-like mist), some plexiglass, a weak vacuum motor,some tubing, and a housing (fiberglass sheeting or a trashcan).

...It would take some work, but there's plenty of plans available online.

Can't think of any thunderstorm models that are totally harmless...
