We have many iron on patches that we have collected at places we visited, anyone have ideas on what to do with these. Something that is nice (not tacky, although they are iron-on patches, lol).

I would appreciate any suggestions.....

  1. I, too, collect these patches.  I did not want to iron them on any article of clothing thus making them permanent so I bought a big picture frame 2 1/2' long and 2' wide and arranged them in a pleasing way and used sticky dots to attach them.  Some can be arranged by states and some by themes.  I have enough to fill 4 or 5 frames.  I am going to hang them on the wall in our family/game room.

  2. How about making a memory quilt using those patches for appliques?

    Something like this:

    or this:

But appliqueing the patches on the individual fabric squares.

You could make it any size you want, and hang it on a wall in your family room, if you didn't want to put it on a bed or quilt rack.

  3. Have you considered selling them.  You may be surprised to find out that some of them are valuable, depending on demand, how old they are, where they are from and other factors.

Check on eBay and other online selling sights to see if any of them have value.
