I need ideas to promote my online business?

I started an online children's resale company called Spoogles.com. I have already advertised on Perezhilton.com, google, yahoo, msn, various message boards, and stumbleupon.com...as well as handing out hundreds of promotional flyers. My company has been online for about two months with very little success. I know that I have a good idea...everything in the store is $3 and is backed by a 100% money back guarantee, however i just can't seem to get it off the ground. Will someone PLEASE take a look at my website and give me some honest answers (no need to be a jerk, but constructive critisism is welcome)...and PLEASE give me some more ideas on how to promote.

  1. You really do have a fantastic idea, but I think you need to narrow down your audience a bit. Who are you catering to with your $3 clothes service? It's certainly not the suburban teenagers and partying 20 year olds that dominate Perez Hilton, now is it?

    I think what you need to do is keep handing out promotional flyers, but do it in an area where you know that people aren't as financially well-off and could really use a website like yours.

    It usually takes a lot more than 2 months for an online business to really take off. Keep advertising as much as possible and think about who you're advertising to. You've got to have your main audience in mind whenever you start making more advertisements.

  2. If you are looking to advertise your small business, Lookcube is a great choice.

    Lookcube is a free local classifieds website. Ads on Lookcube stay for 30 days and automatically renew, which is a real timesaver for small business owners. Craigslist ads expire after 7 days, so reposting can become a real chore.

  3. Here are some ideas:

    1) Answer questions on Yahoo Answers about clothes and put your link as the source if they wanna get related items

    2) you can't attract the Stumble Upon community with a STORE! Make some articles which will spread viral, like Funny Boys Pants or 10 Best Girls...whatever. That usually works. You'll get a lot of backlinks.

    3) Do article marketing and keyword research. There's a great Google Trends tool from wordtracker, you may wanna visit this site about keyword research and download the free videos inside: http://www.thirtydayschallenge2008.com

  6. You need to do article marketingand social bookmarking. Start a blog and write about children's clothes, etc.

    Submit articles to the search engines and get some bookmarks at the major social bookmark sites.

  7. There are two glaring flaws found on your opening webpage:

    1)  The <title> lacks a business locale, i.e., city, state, country.  Remember that customers are concerned by how much they have to pay in shipping costs and when you are way across the nation, they are not likely to patronize your website;

    2)  The <description> is missing as a consequence, when you look at the Google search entry, it states "ecommerce provided by Google."  What does that really mean or relate to your actual goods.  Instead, complete the <description> metatag with up to 65 characters, and spaced entries consisting of simple complete sentences describing your goods; not merely a repeat of your <keywords> entries.

    Once you correct your SEO metatags, you will attract a greater specialized audience.

    Good luck!
