I need immidiate help for becoming a radio jockey...

hello ppl see i m giving an audition for becoming a radio jockey and dont exactly know wht to say ??

plz help...........

Sorry, but why would you apply for a job like that if you don't know what to do?  It's one of the major things you need to be able to do for that job:  speak off the top of your head.

Duh is usually better at answering this question, but basically do a presentation like you would on air... like "That was Michael Bolton and you're with Cat on Smooth Jazz 107.4 NSJZ" and then ablib like you would on the air about something touching or funny such as the 44 lb cat receiving a new home in New Jersey....

Are you going to the radio station?  I know when we hire part-time talent, we provide scripts for them.  Remember to read naturally.  Don't try to sound like a "D.J.".  Read with enthusiasm but don't read to fast and don't YELL.  Practice reading a news paper or magazine if you have time.  If you have a decent voice, delivery, and can read, you may have a chance. If you don't get it this time and really want to be on the radio, keep practicing reading at home.  Record yourself if you can and listen back.  It would help to find someone who is already in the business to give you advice on your recording.  Good luck.
