Hello everyone, im looking for individual health insurance. I am 16 needing surgery on my right knee which has a Torn Miniscus. i need it immediately with a decent pay rate.

  1. Even if you could get insurance now, it would not cover an injury or condition that you already have when you sign up. If you're low income and a minor, the department of human services, or child welfare agency can likely refer you to a state agency that can provide some assistance. Talk to a parent, school counselor, or intelligent adult who will help you. Good luck.

  3. Individual insurance will not cover any pre-existing conditions.  If you are truthful and disclose your condition, you will be automatically be rejected for coverage.  If you lie about it, and obtain surgery quickly, the insurance company will likely not cover the procedure.

    Please contact the nearest medical school to see if you can qualify to become a patient.  Medical schools offer state-of-the-art care at greatly reduced cost.

    Other options have already been listed by others, that is, look into Medicaid, SCHIPS, and county hospitals.
