keyston brothers were located in san francisco,california.although they were in business for many years they did not start making saddles untill 1906.between that year and 1914,they bought out the J.C.Johnson Co,main winchester and stone,F.S.Johnson Company and Harpenham and Janson leather and shoe findings..the Keyston Brothers became the largest manufacturers of saddles and harnesses on the pacific coast..then in 1925 they bought the W.Davis and Sons Saddlery..in 1950 Keyston bought the H.H.Heiser Co and in 1959,Bought the Lichtenberger Co.of Los Angeles,California they stamped their saddles"KEYSTON BROS.SAN FRANSISCO,CA" they are still in business today..macpherson is probably the model of the saddle
