  1. Here is the link to the Deutsche Bahn site in English. I wish I would help you, but you didn't mentioned which Meckenheim you're going to. There is more then one in Germany and you would have to exactly choose the right one:

If you need more help pls post the Meckenheim you're going to:)

  2. hi,

i think that i can help you.

i have some more questions for details:

    - could you please tell me which Meckenheim/trainstation you are talking about.

    - do i understand you correctly, that you go from E to M and back all of this three dates?

    **************************************...

    http://www.bahn.de/regional/view/mdb/pv/...

    shows the connections of north-rhine-westfalia.

look for bonn (lower quarter of the page). west of it you´ll find euskirchen. follow the blue line east and the fourth stop is meckenheim.

you´ll need 20 minutes with the train and you do not have to change trains

Maybe the "Tagesticket" (day ticket =12,80 Euro) for 5 persons could be the best choise. You need one for zone 3.

Look for the code on the table of the ticketmachine for Meckenheim. type the number and select Tagesticket (Gruppentagesticket)...

!!Take in mind it is not valid before 9 o´clock!!

if you travel earlier , i think the best option is to take the NRW-Ticket (SchönerTagTicket NRW) .. it is valid for 5 persons and cost 29,50 euro the whole day and you can take trains as well as busses!,

    a single journey costs 4.10

    a ticket with 4 journeys 14.40

before nine?: a combination of 4-ticket and Tagesticket is possible too :)

you can book it via internet

but it is easier to book it at the trainstation. there are ticketmachines available.

select "schöner tag ticket", it asks for the number of persons (1 or 5) and the date.

    That´s all.

you can have a look at the timetable

    http://www.bahn.de/p/view/international/... you need 19minutes

just enter euskirchen and meckenheim and the date of travel.

    There you are.

I hope, this help you.. do not hesitate to ask if i espress it to complicated :)

    have fun
