I need information on living in shannon,ie. including renting accomodation and what the shopping is like?

To be honest there's feck all in Shannon, except the airport. It's naff. I would move to Ennis instead or Limerick (just beware of the shootings etc...)

There is an airport, and housing still quite affordable. Great if you are married and looking for a quiet place to settle down. If you're not married, though, avoid, as there is very little to do other than your local, like in all the rest of Irish countryside.

Shopping in Shannon is pretty basic, there are some shops liked Dunne's and Tesco's and Lidl, and some other small places, but other than that you'd need to go to Limerick or Ennis.

Don't know about living in Shannon, but I'd recommend Ennis or Limerick, like someone else has suggested. Just don't move to the area of Moyross.
