  1. almost always, they just need a good soak in parts cleaner, as the little fuel jets get clogged with varnish build-up and gunk. (spray carburator cleaner will NOT do the job).

I would get a gallon of "Parts Cleaner", you can get at any auto store.  Make sure its the gallon.

Take apart the carb and remove any plastic or rubber parts - like the float! and gasket.  If your careful, i always just re-use the gasket unless its really shot.

Then, follow the directions and soak the whole carb in the parts cleaner.  you will actually see it dissolving stuff from inside the tiny jets after a while.

DO NOT soak any rubber or plastic parts.

  2. My Ryobi weed trimmer had a similar problem.  I purchase a new carburetor from Ryobi for $35.  Problem solved.

  3. I usually get the scematics on teh part I want to rebuild, and then purchase a kit for it. This site has the scematics, all you need to do is go to this website type in your model number take the carburator apart, and see how it goes back together. You can probably find the rebuild kit here, or get a new carburator here as well.
