hey guys (:

heres the thing, im not boasting or anything, but my skin is good. i hardly ever get spots and it is smooth. but sometimes it can get a bit blotchy, and personally, i think it could look better.

as you can see in these pictures, vannessa hudgens does not have any visible spots and her skin looks wounderful:

obviously she uses either foundation or powder.

i want my skin to look like this, so can you please help me? (please answer the following)

1) how do i get my skin to look like this?

2) whats better - foundation or powder?

3) how do you choose the right colour for your skin tone?

thankyou, all so very much (:

  1. Hate to tell ya, but Vanessa uses a technique called "airbrushing" which is applying a special foundation with a machine. Its wonderful stuff, but not practical for everyday use.

Instead, I would tell you to use MAC cream foundation or Bare Essencials mineral powder. Both are great for evening out the skin tone but not looking overdone.

  2. Foundation, but sometimes both foundation and powder, just depends.

    Go to marykay.com.

  3. I guess you have quite young skin, so I would use a liquid foundation or a tinted moisturiser. Powder can be quite difficult to look smooth.

Go into Boots or Superdrug and try dabbing a little bit of foundation on the inside bit of your wrist.

See which coverage you like, some will be powdery, some will be shiny etc. Once you pick one you like try and get a good shade. It should blend into your skin, so you can't see much colour but your skin looks nicer. When you find it you will know. If you have freckles, once you have found a colour you think will be good, try it on the back of your hand to check it doesn't make your freckles go odd.

Try a cheaper one and if you don't like it, its not too much money wasted, maybe number 17 or Boots Natural Collection.

  4. First of all sweety her skin is photoshopped.....

For the blotchyness you could use something that would lighten that. DrMurad has a gel for that check Sephora.

For the better foundation I'd recommend MAC studio fix

*powder doesn't cover much but you can use it for touch ups during the day

Your shade for you foundation should match the color of your neck and you can ask for help at MAC or wherever you are going they'd be glad to help.

    hope this helps bye

  5. i use merle norman and its a great cover up
